Sara Caplan

Hi! I am an improviser based in Los Angeles, CA. I am a member of the Harold Team yikes! and the musical improv team Dramatique! at Upright Citizens’ Brigade, as well as a member of QT’s, UCB’s first all-trans-GNC-nonbinary improv team. I’ve guested with Baby Wants Candy, Magic to Do, Queer World, and Off Book, and I also teach musical improv workshops!

I grew up in Houston, TX before graduating from Harvard in 2015 with a degree in Philosophy. Since then, I’ve worked a number of different jobs, from teaching sculptural welding classes to working with high school students on their college admissions essays to building sets for game shows on Dropout. I also briefly attended Berkeley School of Law, but dropped out after two years of growing increasingly frustrated and disillusioned with the legal system.

I love coaching improv, it's literally one my top three favorite things to do! I coach both musical and regular improv and work with teams of all levels. Whether you just took 101 and are working on the basics or you have been performing for years and want to take your shows to the next level, I'd love to work with you! Let's prov baby!
