Sam has been pursuing sketch comedy since he moved to America in 2010, he has been a member of two Maude teams at UCB LA and one house sketch team at the Magnet Theater in NYC. He currently writes for the Maude team Gorgeous which can be seen the second Wednesday of every month at UCB Sunset.

He has written sketch comedy that has been performed at the Montreal Sketch Fest, the Charm City Comedy festival in Baltimore, Sonoma Laughfest, New Jersey 4th St Arts Festival and the New York SketchFest. He has directed sketch comedy shows that have played at the People's Improv theater and the Magnet Theater in New York.

He is originally from Melbourne, Australia which gives him a comedic perspective that has been called "unique" but also "relatively accessible".
