About
Hey! (A little louder than everyone else on this site.)
If you're clicking here you are hopefully looking for a coach or you are one of my contemporaries snooping my profile, in both cases -- hey, it's nice to see you, you look absolutely fab.
General About Me: I'm from Northern California (think cows and farms), I grew up doing regional theater and have a BFA in Musical Theater (cut system if that means anything to ya). For money I taught on the side so I have lots of experience and love teaching!! I have been doing improv in my theatrical settings forever but wasn't formally introduced to it until I moved to NY and went to the UCB Chelsea Theater (RIP). I currently work in television on the producing side WEEeeeee logistics!
Improv: Collectively I've been doing improv for 10+ years. I have completed the Second City Program & UCB. I have performed and studied at SC, WE, WGIS, UCB, The Shared Experience, The Pack, a teensy bit of Groundlings, anywhere I can! I am deeply in love with this artform and am looking to help individuals and teams grow and find their perfect niche!
Musical Improv: I am very passionate about musical improv as well and would really love to help teams specifically work on vocal health and safety when performing. I see so many brilliant and talented performers not using their instrument as well as they could. I'd love to work with you on presence, stage work, and vocal/bodily health when singing!!! PLEASE, LET ME HELP, I AM SO EXCITED TO DO IT.
Sketch: I performed sketch at Second City and now for several years at The Pack, I also have done one-off shows and booked a few things on the side. I'd love to sub when your director books that commercial.
As, for my coaching style, I would say "kind and fair" probably, I strive to be completely supportive but if you're looking for a pure cheerleader and no feedback, I'm probably not the right choice for you or your team. I am looking to help you become the best version of YOU, not the best version of me and what I personally think is funny. I'm looking to curate you as a performer and your style with confidence!
I personally love notes, they help me immensely to reveal habits or things I don't recognize in myself quite yet. Once I can see them and understand them I can work on them! I fully believe in notes, and building people up at the same time. If everyone on the team is strong individually it collectively raises the tide!
I hope to help you grow and laugh at your jokes very soon!
