Carmen Angelica

Carmen Angelica is a writer/director/comedian living in Los Angeles. Carmen is currently an improvisor on the UCB Harold Team NOMI MALONE, and a writer for the UCB Maude Team JUDITH. She was formerly wrote for the Maude Team TUT and has written and directed for UCBcomedy Los Angeles Digital.

She is a member of the popular indie team Kanyay! West ( who performs on and off the UCB stage, and in national improv festivals) and musical improv team Second Pancake. Recently, Carmen came back from taking her solo show "Who Am I And What The Hell Am I Doing?" around the country after having it be up at UCB regularly for 6 months.

A graduate from NYU's Tisch School of Film and Television, Carmen majored in directing, writing, and animation. She currently works as a director/producer/editor and occasionally as a storyboard artist.

Since moving to LA, Carmen has directed UCB shows Leave Me Alone, But Hang Out With Me by Cody Kopp, and Would You Like A Sample Of Hell by Hesley Harps. She has also directed videos for In Between Us, SRSLY, Buzz Off Lucille, and Fun Rack in addition to directing/writing several individual pieces for individuals and her own personal work. Carmen's work has been featured by Entertainment Weekly, Funny or Die, Comedy Cake, Styleist, Huffington Post, Time Out New York, and LAist.
