Hi! I'm Lisa. I'm a veteran of the Chicago improv scene, where I spent almost fourteen years studying and performing improvisation and sketch comedy at The Second City, iO (formerly Improv Olympic), The Annoyance, The Playground and ComedySportz. I've been teaching/coaching for over a decade.

Before relocating to Los Angeles, I taught all levels of longform improvisation at iO and performed for six years with Harold team Cougars as well as the critically-acclaimed remount of Close Quarters. I performed for over five years with Big Yellow Bus at The Playground Theater, and for over ten with ensemble team Mustang Repair, as well as in the initial ensemble for Out Of Character. I have written, performed, directed and produced improvised and scripted shows all around Chicago. She taught beginning comedy writing at The Second City Training Center and teach online classes as well. Recently I taught Online Writing Strong Women. My bread and butter comes from working with Second City Communications, traveling around the world to teach businesspeople how to utilize improv in their everyday lives, and sometimes perform classic scenes and improvise. Which is awesome.

My coaching and instruction philosophy is to create a supportive and challenging atmosphere. My methods include creating an inclusive environment, meeting individuals where they are, and trusting that no one is making a mistake. My job as an instructor or coach is to help individuals discover what a stronger choice might be if and when they are presented with a similar situation in a scene/game/ensemble in the future.
