Courtney Sevener

My name is Courtney Sevener and I want to coach your improv team and/or direct your sketch show. Here's a little about me:

I have been improvising for over seven years, specifically at UCBLA since 2015. I was a member of the UCB Mess Hall team Woodson, and currently write for Maude Night with Somebody’s Baby.

I produce two shows at the Inner Sanctum! Fuck This Week is the first Saturday of each month at 7pm (come jam!) and Director’s Corner is the first Thursday of each month at 3pm (come get notes on your sketch or character!).

I have studied with / been coached by Billy Merritt, Casey Feigh, Drew DiFonzo Marks, Alex Berg, Shaun Diston, Gavin Speiller, Beth Appel, Will Hines, Joel Spence, Mike McClendon, Alex Fernie, Johnny Meeks, Julia Meltzer, Greg Gallant, Jake Jabbour, Michael Gardner, Matthew Brian Cohen and wow, even more but honestly this list is already very long!

I believe that what makes a team great is their ability to effectively communicate and receive communication about what is fun and funny in the scene! There is no “finding the game” – we are creating it together.
