My improv philosophy: commit, listen, play with confidence, celebrate your teammates, allow silence, use your body to communicate, and think of yourself as an actor.
I want to help your team or practice group improvise in ways that make people wonder how in the world you did that. My favorite things to work on are:
- Strong Relationships
- Grounded Scene Work
- Using the Environment
I like to help teams discover each team member's unique voice so you're playing with everyone at 100%.
My background is in acting (I got my MFA from the Moscow Art Theatre School / Harvard University in 2008) but I've been focusing solely on improv for the last three years. Studying at Upright Citizen's Brigade (Advanced Study) and at Reckless Theatre where I was a teacher and on the former house teams Too Big of a Dog and All Gonna Die. I currently perform with Come Ova (an improvised sitcom) and have performed and run workshops internationally.
