Bente Engelstoft

Hey friends! I’m Bente! I am a recent transplant from Chicago and have been practicing improv and sketch for the last eight years. Here’s a little about my background:

I got my degree in theatre from the University of Glasgow where I wrote my dissertation on improvised theatre (Nerd? Yes!), which led me to Chicago.

In Chicago, I studied at Second City and iO Chicago. I went on to write and perform for two seasons with Second City’s Outreach and Diversity company, Urban Twist. At iO, I performed with mainstage Harold teams, Doctro and Big Spoon. I also improvised with Spanish language team Heraldo. I also coached and directed several independent improv and sketch teams.

Since arriving in LA last September, I was a writer for the CBS Diversity Showcase. I am currently a writer / performer for Nerdist sketch team Road Friez, and I improvise with iO West mainstage team Pockets.
